NOTICE OF VACANCY ON BOARD OF DIRECTORS

This notice is provided pursuant to California Government Code Section 1780 to advise that the Calwa Recreation and Park District Board of Directors will consider nominations for the vacant position of Director at its regular meeting on January 20, 2026.

The person appointed to fill the vacancy shall hold office until the next general district election, through 2028, at which time the individual appointed will have the opportunity to run for a four-year term of office. 

To be eligible, candidates must be a resident and registered voter of the District. Eligible Candidates should submit a Statement of Interest by no later than January 16, 2026 at 10:00 AM. Statements of interest may be obtained from, and returned to, the Calwa Recreation and Park District Office at 4545 E Church Avenue, Fresno, CA 93725, or via the Districts website at https://www.calwarecreation.org/ .
